ABOUT ME
Hello! I’m Kevin Wilson, a dedicated post-production professional with over 10 years of experience in offline picture editing and assistant editing and am proud to be listed on the Roster with the Editors Guild. While I’ve primarily worked with AVID Media Composer, I also have experience with Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro. My passion for editing began in childhood, and I’ve continued to refine my skills in the ever-evolving world of film and television.
In 2017, I proudly joined the Motion Picture Editors Guild, and in 2024, I was accepted into the Television Academy's Post-Production Peer Group, further solidifying my commitment to the art of editing. In 2022, I was honored to receive a show-wide Emmy nomination, a testament to my dedication and love for storytelling through visual media. I believe that every frame has a story to tell, and I’m committed to bringing those stories to life with creativity and precision.
Beyond editing, I have a deep appreciation for technology and its role in the evolution of cinema. I enjoy exploring the rich history of film, as well as indulging my artistic side through various forms of art. When I’m not working, you can find me hiking scenic trails, playing video games, or traveling to new places with family or friends.
I love the challenge of editing, where every project feels like piecing together a puzzle. Collaborating with a team to discover the right tone, rhythm, and pacing, and shaping the final product is an exhilarating experience that always feels fresh. Through the years and projects, I have been fortunate to be a part of amazing teams with incredibly creative people. No matter my role, I strive to help the team in any way I can to craft the best story possible and create something we can all take pride in. I've received praise for my attention to detail, the quality of my work, creativity and my supportive nature, making me a valuable asset as we navigate the complexities of post-production.
